A Conversation with Subroto Mukerji, CEO of Integreon

Legaltech, Leadership, and the Future of ALSPs: A Conversation with Subroto Mukerji, CEO of Integreon In the latest episode of Legal(tech) Briefs (Watch here; Listen here), Zach Posner, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of The LegalTech Fund, spoke with Subroto Mukerji, the CEO of Integreon, to talk about the evolution of legal services, the growing influence of alternative legal service providers (ALSPs), and the impact of AI on the legal industry.

Subroto Mukerji brings over 35 years of global leadership experience from companies like Rackspace, DXC Technology, and Hewlett-Packard. Since stepping into the CEO role at Integreon in 2022, he’s brought a tech-first, client-centric mindset to a traditionally slow-moving sector. AI's Impact on Legal Services Subroto opens with a simple yet powerful insight: the high cost and limited access to legal services leave a significant share of the market underserved. Fortunately, AI is starting to bridge that gap by automating routine tasks and making legal expertise more accessible. He encourages listeners to take action. The key to staying ahead is to start with what is available now. Do not wait for the perfect solution. Why Tech-Enabled Services Matter More Than Ever Building on the importance of adopting tech, Subroto explains that while legal teams might only encounter certain problems occasionally, ALSPs are solving them daily. This experience translates into faster, more efficient, and better results for their clients. Subroto shared how Integreon became the first ALSP to roll out an enterprise-wide license for a legal GenAI product. By putting the tool in everyone’s hands from day one, they avoided resistance and accelerated adoption across the organization. Persistence Over Brilliance Shifting to the human element of innovation, a highlight of the episode was Subroto’s take: it’s not about flashes of brilliance, it’s about persistence, the willingness to stay with a problem until it’s solved. “People tend to overestimate brilliance and underestimate persistence,” he says, echoing Edison’s famous idea that genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration. For Subroto, persistence and curiosity matter more than raw intelligence. Building Scalable Solutions with Law + Tech In line with the theme of innovation, Subroto talked about the intersection of legal expertise and technology. The process starts with understanding a client’s pain points, followed by identifying where tech fits in, building the right solution, testing it, and scaling it when it works.

What makes it work? A team that understands both law and tech and knows how to listen. That combo lets you uncover problems others might miss, and come up with solutions that actually stick. Final Thoughts from The LegalTech Fund This episode offers a glimpse into the future of legal services, led by someone driving that transformation with both vision and execution. Subroto’s blend of tech expertise, operational discipline, and legal insight makes him a key leader in legal innovation.

At The LegalTech Fund, we believe conversations like this help shape what’s next. Whether you’re building, investing, or leading in legaltech, this episode is worth your time.
